Italian Tomato Caprese Salad
By Christina Jeffrey
Tomatoes are in season so how better to enjoy them then with a caprese salad!
This is a bit of a twist on the classic caprese, but it's the way I love to eat it!
If you are italian or just love italian food you will know there are many ways to prepare this classic. I love a fresh beefsteak tomato with avocado, burrata cheese, fresh basil, salt, pepper, the best extra virgin olive oil and fresene integrale. These are an italian whole wheat bread that look like a bagel but are hard. Sprinkle some olive oil on them while you prepare the salad, and this will soften them but they will still have a nice crunch.
